For years, many pipe smokers have enjoyed the taste and aroma of fine Virginia pipe tobaccos. Today a new generation of pipe enthusiasts is discovering this wonderful experience. Both aromatic and English smokers enjoy a Virginia on occasion because it is so different from their usual blends. And of course some smokers prefer Virginia tobaccos almost exclusively. At De La Concha, we wanted a straight Virginia which would be complex, smooth, sweet, delicious and have no bite. We succeeded with Old Faithful. We take stoved red Virginia and mix it with lemon Virginia. Then the mix is restoved. This softens the blend creating a smooth smoke. Then straight red Virginia is added for sweetness. The tobacco is then pressed to allow the tobaccos to marry. The result is one of the finest Virginia blends you may ever smoke. Being of a medium body, this smooth, non-biting creation smokes clean, and the taste is refined, refreshing and invigorating. And because it must be rubbed out, it smokes cooler than a ribbon cut Virginia blend. For an occasional change of pace or for your principle tobacco, this blend will please on all counts. Naturally sweet with no additives, smooth with a grand complexity, this tobacco is one of our finest offerings and we are proud to make it available to you.
